Confession: I spent ages looking at super intricate strawberry roses online and then decided to wing it and this happened! Pretty stoked with how it came out. Perfect topping for this refreshing Christmas bevvy.
Here’s how to make a Strawberry Gin Smash at home.
Ingredients
- 60 ml London dry gin
- 10 ml simple syrup (1:1)
- 3 strawberries, sliced
- 1 lime slice
- Soda to top
- Strawberry rose and mint sprig to garnish
Method
Add the gin, sugar syrup and a few of the strawberry slices to the bottom of a collins glass and muddle lightly. Fill the rest of the glass with alternating layers of ice and the remaining strawberry slices. Drop in the lime slice after giving it a quick squeeze and top with soda. Give it a stir and garnish with the strawberry rose and a sprig of mint.
